Andrew Ng: Building Faster with AI

I encourage everyone to watch this video by Andrew Ng, delivered recently at Y Combinator’s AI Startup School. It’s an eloquent summary of what this group is about: Build Fast AI with AI.

Some of the themes in Ng’s talk that I would like to emphasize:

• Most of the opportunities in AI (for most of us) are in building AI applications.

• Focus on concrete ideas for faster execution

• Concrete ideas come from a subject matter expert thinking about a problem deeply and for a long time

• Build prototypes! We can now build prototypes at least 10x faster with Agentic AI tools

• Build many prototypes to gain experience but also to validate your ideas
